I am 14 and I want to be a Movie Director when I get older. I have been looking at cameras for a while now and have bought quite a few, but none have worked well enough. My friends and I make videos for contests and I’ve been trying to introduce myself to the directing world.
Im looking for a camera that is within a reasonable price range, also any video editing software tips would be nice too. I would like to buy a camera that takes pictures and records video, but a camcorder would be fine too.
I currently have a camcorder that can record TV. Unfortunately, I can’t find the TV out on my TV! I tried plugging it in where the DVD player is in but it only gives me the audio! And I looked in the instruction guide too! It’s a Samsung TFT-LCD TV (I think) if that helps anyone…

I know this is a very vauge question, so I’ll try and be a bit more specific.
When I am filming live gigs, the clarity of the footage of my camcorder (A very low-end Samsung VP-D381 with equally lousy specs) is underpar results.
Anyone got any suggestions to improve the following?:
I noticed that the colours on the footage are washed out, even when I have adjusted the camcorder settings to the best of what I can get it, any way I can make my camcorder feature stronger colours?
